Diamond Hitch

This project required the complete structural overhaul of three distinct outdoor living spaces, totaling over 1,900 square feet.

The original structure suffered from severe, widespread rot. We performed a full demolition and completely reframed the massive footprint using robust, pressure-treated joists to ensure long-lasting moisture resistance.

To honor the homeowner's request for a traditional, authentic feel, we constructed the new decking system exclusively from premium Western Red Cedar.

We underwent a meticulous stain-matching process, so the new wood seamlessly complements the home's grand log facade and existing river rock pillars.

The result is a highly durable, structurally sound outdoor pavilion that perfectly preserves the property's authentic rustic grandeur.

A critical component of this massive restoration was rectifying a severe structural failure threatening the home's roofline.

The Problem: As detailed in the project documentation, severe rot within the original deck frame caused the massive structural pillars supporting the roof to sink directly into the deck. This failure was physically pulling the roof's eave down and creating a dangerous sag.

Engineering: To halt the sinking and permanently resolve the structural deficit, we replaced the failing wood connections with custom-fabricated, heavy-duty metal support brackets.

Leveling: These specialized brackets were engineered with built-in field adjustments. This allowed our team to precisely lift the massive log pillars and perfectly level the sagging roof eave on-site without needing heavy, specialized lifting equipment.

Result: The final execution yielded a perfectly straight roofline and a flawlessly flat deck. The massive overhead structure is now fully supported by an unyielding, adjustable metal foundation that guarantees any future sagging can be adjusted.
